I worked from home Monday night.Most of the night it was coffee, but with half an hour to go, I cracked open a beer.Mmmmm… working from home…I used the "Exposure" Photoshop plug-in to emulate Kodachrome 64 film.

Crafts work out pretty well. There is going to be some startup cost for almost anything, but craft buisnesses where you can sell at local fairs and/or online often have very small startup costs. Web design is another possibility if you have good coding and layout skills. If you really like kids, I know some moms have set up a small daycare and/or after school program in their home. You have to check on legal requirements for that though as it varries based on where you are.
Try Odesk.com. They were mentioned on CNN as legit. I signed up with them and put in for a couple of jobs, but I don’t really need a job so I just dabble.

A typing job for the goverment
I know that some businesses will get stay at home moms (or less mobile people) to do data entry. You could call up a temp agency and see if there is anything that you could do from home such as data entry, document typing…etc.
